A DUI conviction is not merely a temporary setback. Unfortunately, it is one of the most devastating things that can happen to a person. Before the court makes a decision on this, they will look at a number of factors including how long ago your conviction occurred. They will also review the seriousness of the situation. The court will also review whether you successfully completed the terms of your sentence. An example may be that you fulfilled the terms of your community service or DUI school. Lastly, they will review your record to see if you have had any other incidents following your conviction.

Obviously, having a DUI removed or at least hidden from prospective schools and employers would be a big win for you. This may be especially true if your profession relies heavily on your ability to drive.
